Micro Piling

Micro Piles are generally used in conditions where limited space or height exists but a high load capacity is required. The equipment used for the installation of Micro Piles is much smaller than conventional piling equipment.

The structural principle of Micro Piles differs from the normal reinforced concrete piles in that the load is carried wholly by the steel component of the Micro Pile. The diameter of the steel component ranges from 100mm to 200mm and load capacity can be provided up to 100 tonnes.

Micro Pile Applications

  • Supporting new loads in congested areas
  • Seismic retrofit
  • Arresting structural settlement
  • Resisting Uplift/Dynamic Loads
  • Underpinning
  • Excavation support in confined areas
